We use biological pest control
We live in beautiful surroundings down by Bagsværd Lake. This is a local environment we want to help protect. Therefore, we choose to use biological pest control. With biological pest control, our gardeners are not exposed to pesticides. Here, beneficial insects do the work. During the season, we release beneficial insects into the nursery weekly. This way, we continuously monitor the pest population. To keep the population of unwelcome pests in our plants down, we use Borregaard Bioplant APS as a supplier of biological pest control. How to control pests in your garden
For treating pest infestations on your outdoor or indoor plants, we recommend using biological pest control. First and foremost, as a customer, you will get the most out of biological pest control if the outbreak is detected in time and combated early. Unwelcome pests are difficult to control if the outbreak is already very large. When you discover a pest outbreak, it is important to initiate treatment, which means you should wash/rinse the plant with water, as well as the plant's surroundings (e.g., greenhouse). Cleaning is important because pests can be in many places. Therefore, you should also continuously monitor your plants, especially on the underside of the leaves. A magnifying glass can be helpful here. Some plants tolerate pruning, where heavily infested areas are removed from the plant. We recommend that you speak to a gardener about this. Once the plant has been cleaned and/or pruned, you can begin your treatment with beneficial insects. Read more about the different beneficial insects here. Our best advice when it comes to biological pest control is to initiate treatment, but also to be patient. Biological pest control is a process, whereas the old method with forbidden pesticides was a shorter treatment process, but unfortunately also bad for the environment.
